About Kayla
Kayla Butler grew up in the small town of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. From the very young age of 12, Kayla knew she wanted to create art. Photography was just the creative outlet she needed.
2014 Kayla attended Holland College where she graduated the Photography and Digital Imaging program in 2016. While she was at school she was awarded a trophy for “Student Photographer of the year in Atlantic Canada” from the Professional Photographers Of Canada (PPOC-alt). Where she went on to be published and featured by several magazines for her creative beauty work. In 2021& 2022 Kayla was also awarded at the international competition "The Portrait Masters". She has be awarded a Gold Distinction taking 2nd place in APNPI imaging competition in 2025, as well as 3rd place in WPE International awards in 2026. She also continues her work with PPOC where she is an accredited Maternity Photographer.
Kayla Butler is now residing in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, where she is happily creating beautiful images in her studio, or on the hillside of beautiful Newfoundland.

I can’t thank Kayla enough for capturing these photos, as a mother it feels like everyone around you is constantly getting the “frame worthy” pictures with your child because usually, you’re the one taking them, wishing one day they’ll do the same for you but life is so busy and you barely look human most days so you settle for the few you do have. THESE pictures however, are now my most prized possessions… my favourite shoot I’ve ever done.

Luckily, she has an eye for helping narrow down what will look exquisite on you. Kayla makes the shoot feel easy and comfortable while working her magic to produce what I can best describe as art. Everything about the product you receive exudes quality. Right down to the ribbon she wraps it with. I was stunned that an experience like this was available here in western Newfoundland. So worth it!!

From start to finish, my experience with Kayla Butler photography was extremely positive. I had a rough idea of what I was looking for and even though I did not give her much to go on she was able to nail down perfectly what I wanted during our consultation. Including my spouse in the photos was very important to me and Kayla could tell that and made him feel very comfortable during the entire shoot. My favourite part was experiencing Kayla being creative and trying something new that we didn’t even plan for, ending up making my favourite photo. The hardest part was picking a select number of photos after and coming from someone who is used to delivering quantity I can not express enough that even though it’s hard, selecting the photos immediately after, removes the stress and overwhelming aspect of a large gallery and the quality and detail in each photo makes it 100% more intimate and rewarding. I could not of been more thrilled when my prints arrived! Kayla truly is an artist.
